Hydro Graduate Program

Hydro has replaced the previous trainee program with a Graduate Program for newly employed graduates.

The Hydro Graduate Program is a perfect launching pad for a career with Hydro – and a gateway into the exciting world of aluminium and energy whether you are interested in a professional, financial or a managerial career.

We have designed the program to fit your individual needs, allowing you to explore the diversity and depth of Hydro’s businesses.

The program will last about 12 months, during which you will gain broad knowledge of our value chain and have the opportunity to work within different professional areas.

During the program you will also participate in two common sessions focusing on our values, our value chain and on your personal development. They will also give you a broader network in Hydro.

For those working at a Norwegian plant, there are requirements for fluency in a Scandinavian language for some positions.

Ideally, you have:

A PhD, a Masters degree or the equivalent, with good academic results, in Chemical Engineering, Inorganic Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Process Engineering, Metallurgy/Material Science, Structural/Civil Engineering, Cybernetics, Light Metal Production, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Industrial Economics, Finance or Environmental Energy.
No more than two years of work experience.
Fluency in English.
The ability to integrate easily into multicultural and cross-functional working groups.
